The Plaza anchors the west end of the
Freemont Street Experience. The casino is well lit
by Downtown standards, especially the table games area.
Especially charming are the free 'lounge' acts at the
Omaha Lounge, which spill out into the casino.
The circular 'Center Stage' restaurant, literally above
the main entrance, provides a fantastic view down
Fremont Street, and the 'Experience'. The food
is pricey, but very good. Make sure to insist on
a table with a view of the street.

The Plaza's 'Center Stage' restaurant was used several times
as a location setting for the TV series 'Crime Story'.
The series was produced by Michael Mann, who went on to
produce 'Miami Vice', and then Hollywood movies.
Most of the second season of 'Crime Story' takes place
in Las Vegas, and there are some great scenes of Las Vegas
of that era. You can get the series on DVD below (I have it!).
