Well, the Stardust is no more.
Or it could be said that the only thing left is Dust.
In early 2007 the iconic casino/hotel was disappeared in
the name of progress. I hope you made it there at least once
before it's demise. In any case, we offer original, gallery quality
photographs of the Stardust Hotel & Casino, as it used to appear
on 'The Strip', Las Vegas, Nevada, by artist/photographer Bill Buth.

much diminished from the actual photos.
Many who have seen the movie 'Casino', with Robert DeNiro, know that it
was based on the book of the same name by Nicholas Pileggi.
It describes the real life influence of organized crime
on Las Vegas in general, and one casino in particular,
which was the Stardust (known as the fictional 'Tangiers'
in the movie). Although there is no reference to the Stardust
in the movie, and no scenes shot there, the movie is really worth
seeing for any Vegas fanatic like me. (Ironically, the entrance to the
now demolished Landmark Hotel was used as a set in the movie,
to depict the entrance of the 'Tangiers'.
The Landmark, at that time, had been closed for several years!)
